We are a retail apparel and lifestyle brand that exists to champion, support and celebrate keyworkers in health, education, dentistry and social care.
We create apparel and products that focus on comfort, style, durability and function at affordable prices. In doing this, we aim to redefine the perception of what modern day icons look like, sound like and do. Icons that demonstrate compassion, selflessness, courage, grit and determination, even in the fiercest face of adversity. Icons that are the very essence of what we should value, respect, and consider important in our societies. They deserve nothing less.
“Redefining the perception of what modern day icons look like, sound like and do”
MORE THAN WHAT YOU WEAR
At Fit For Icons, we listened to your stories about how devalued, demotivated and unsafe you felt in your workwear and your environment, and set out to create a new range of scrubs and accessories to address your biggest concerns. That’s why we’re proud to say our scrubs have been designed by professionals, for professionals.
“Scrubs designed by professionals, for professionals”

The idea for the business came about in the earliest days of the COVID19 pandemic when our CEO Tessa Wilson, who has a background as a business consultant across Health and Social Care, started sewing PPE to support family members who were doctors, teachers, social workers and health professionals.
Deeply saddened by the stories of undervalued, overwhelmed and terrified staff working in unsafe conditions in predominantly public sector services, Tessa formed an online army of volunteers to sew scrubs, facemasks, scrub bags and headbands for any keyworker that needed them. Over the course of nine months, the group sewed and gave away over ten thousand items to every keyworker profession imaginable.
“Founded on the principals of supporting, championing, advocating and giving back to keyworkers”
From this, the current business was born, founded on the principals of supporting, championing, advocating and giving back to keyworkers, with 10% of net profits donated to their charities. In addition, Tessa was committed to the businesses global responsibilities in helping to create a kinder and fairer world for all humans on our planet. Through the establishment of our not-for-profit Fit For Icons Foundation, we will promote and support the delivery of voluntary keyworker services in third world countries too.
